Data: See attached results. Calculations: See attached results. Summary of Results and Conclusion: In Trial 1, 0.030 g of Mg are reacted with HCl to collect a gas of volume 23.31 mL. The height of the water column in the eudiometer was 32.51 cm. The temperature of the water was 23.8 degrees Celsius or 297.3 Kelvin’s. In Trial 2, 0.33 g of Mg are reacted with HCl to collect a gas of volume 26.61 mL. The height of the water column in the eudiometer was 29.21 cm.
