Liz Barclay 2/12/08 Observation Lab Observation: My roommate, Age Tomao, listens to specific genres of music at different times of the day and when she’s doing different activities. Hypothesis: Choice of music depends on level of awakeness or degree of activity. Procedure: Record what genre of music she listens to at five different times of the day for a week. The six times will be morning, afternoon, evening, working out, and doing homework. Prediction: Time of Day/Activity Genre of Music Morning Upbeat, loud (pop, rap, rock) Afternoon Fun, dance (hip-hop, country) Evening Mix (alt. rock, country, pop, etc.) Working Out Loud, dance (hip-hop, rap, funk) Doing Homework Quiet, mellow (country, alt. rock) Data: Time of Day/Activity Genre of Music Morning Country (radio) Afternoon Alt. rock, country
