MENTAL STATUS EXAM 2AppearanceJuan Lattimore appeared before me on this day, January 26, 2021 for an initial interview and evaluation. Mr. Lattimore is being considered as a viable candidate for a Senior Pastor’s position in the state of Mississippi. Therefore, he was referred by the interested party, Bayside Baptist Church. Mr. Lattimore is an unmarried, thirty-seven-year-old black male. He stands slim and toned at six feet, zero inches with a strong posture. There is no evidence of any physical deformities. Mr. Lattimore has tattoos that are partially visible on his neck and hands.Mr. Lattimore’s hair, facial hair, and nails were clean and well-groomed. He smelled clean and was wearing a soft cologne. Mr. Lattimore’s white shirt, and black suit and tie were clean, wrinkle-free, fits well, is professional and appropriate. As well, his black shoes were clean and appeared to be new. Mr. Lattimore wears glasses for reading but has no other sensory deficiencies. Overall, Mr. Lattimore seems to put an adequate amount of time into and take pride in his hygiene and appearance.Behavior/Psychomotor ActivityJuan Lattimore appeared well rested, moved at a steady pace, and exhibited stable mobility. In the beginning of the interview, Mr. Lattimore’s gestures suggested that he was nervous and experiencing some anxiety about being interviewed. He had a soft sweat at the rim of the forehead and his body appeared to be tensed. At times, Mr. Lattimore also rocked back andforth or lean forward when trying to get his thoughts into words. However, once he became comfortable, his body relaxed, he sat back in the chair, and he exhibited more confidence in his body language.
