Khadijah Peek CRS 325 EP Speech Out April 12 th , 2011 Friends Introduction I. Attention-Getting Device: Everything you say is important. Don’t think that just because you are trying to look cool or funny to your friends that your words don’t carry any weight. Be careful of what you say, because it could stick with you for the rest of your life. II. Thesis: I lost one of my really good friends in a car accident, and the last thing I had said about her that I remember before we went on break was making fun of her Halloween outfit. III. Preview: In my speech, I will speak about how things we say can have lasting effects on your memory (especially in my case). But my main point is to talk about my friend and the good times we had up until she passed. Then I will talk about how she passed away. TRANSITION: Ever since my friend passed, I usually think about things that come out of my mouth more critically. Body I. I usually said what came to my mind, without thinking about things or how it could affect people around me or myself later on.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
