"Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night."Poetry is often focused on the reader which can overshadow poetry which is huge characteristic of modern poetry. Dylan Thomas’; "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night," the structure breaks up the poem into three-line stanza’s and strategically places repeated phrases to emphasize the necessity ofliving life to its fullest especially when you are on your way out.Repetition occurs multiple times within the poem, the first phrase that is consistently repeated isthe saying, “Do not go gentle into that good night”. This phrase is first repeated in the title and then in four out of the six stanzas. The repetition of this phrase furthers the idea that you should take advantageof your last years.
