The Biosphere a) The first view of the biosphere which consists of all the environments on Earth that are inhabited by life. The biosphere includes most regions of land; most bodies of water, such as oceans, lakes, and rivers; and the atmosphere to an altitude of several kilometers. 2. Ecosystems (dynamics of them) a) Producers are plants and other photosynthetic consumers. b) Consumers are organisms such as animals that feed on producers and other consumers.
