Intro to Business Chapter 3-1 United States Trading Foreign trade is an essential part the of the US economy. While your textbook defines such key terms as trade surplus, trade deficit, and balance of trade, it does not provide current information on the amount of trade, trading partners, and products traded. International business refers to business activities needed for creating, shipping, and selling goods and services across national borders. The US conducts trade with over 180 different countries. Studying the current data and trends will help us understand the role of the United States in the global economy. You are to work with a partner to prepare an interesting presentation on foreign trade in the US. Use the following governmental website to gather information: http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/index.html You may use Power Point or other presentation software to create your project. Your project should answer the following questions: What countries does the US trade the most with? (List at least the top 5)
