As in the lecture, the validation procedure of the project is based on a water fall design sequence and hence each category of the design must be reviewed. The dialyzer needs to be improved because the users need faster and efficient equipment for shortening the time it takes for the maneuver. The designs process it self should be in an orderly fashion as well. The filter for the dialyzer should be tested by observing the efficiency of the membrane so that it fits our goal of separating substances in the blood according to the necessity of the substance. The dialyzer will have a interchangeable membrane to suite the patient’s needs but on average this will have a wall thickness of about 40 micrometers and a length of 30 cm. This leads us to the next step where we think of the spinning process. We will test how much fluid flow is attained in each speed as well as

Basically, from this step the speed of how fast the dialyzer spins is obtained. Our hypothesis is that about 100 rpm and the blood flow at 50-400ml/min. should satisfy our goal. Then the two tests are combined and the dialyzer should be tested with a blood sample and check for any kind of problems in the blood from filtering it with the dialyzer. Finally the dialyzer should go into the hemodialysis and be tested on a person. As mentioned before this is just like the water fall sequence and therefore should be reviewed in each step with our acceptance criteria and satisfying our initial need: improving the efficiency of the dialyzer....
