First, I would like to start out by saying that I originally did not have any intentions on taking this course. I am dual enroll in both Thomas Edison and Charleston Southern and am taking a Public Speaking Course at Charleston Southern that was supposed to replace this course. Because of the mix up with the Army Tuition Assistance and Goarmyed.com, I was not able to drop this course. Once I saw the syllabus, and actually got a chance to go over the textbook, my opinion about this course has changed. I hope to be able to better express myself and understand others better. An understanding of interpersonal communication is an essential ingredient in cooking up good relationships; both personal and professional. I believe that having interpersonal communication would give me the ability to have better cultural. There are cultural etiquettes that regulate the appropriate expression for the language.
