Usually, I like to think of my style of self-care as low maintenance; to stay happy and healthy, it’s important for me to eat a good breakfast and get a decent amount of sleep. The best type of sleep for me is not necessarily many hours, but a constant schedule that allows my body to adapt to rising and setting each day. I like to eat healthy and stay active. Active does not necessarily mean that I need to go on a run or go to the gym for extensive periods of time, but to move around and get stuff done! I love to walk especially when it is in the favor of accomplishing something. Yoga, however, has been an important part of my self-care cycles. I don’t need to do it every day, and in fact can go without it but I do like to wake up and do yoga once in a while or at least get time to think and breathe to myself for a few moments in our ever hectic lifestyles. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
