Joshua Cobler Philosophy 101 Professor Davenport Review of Journals Word Count: 536 There were many journal entries that required me to probe deeper into my mind than I have possibly ever done and some caused to question things that I was sure o before. The journal about Socrates and death however, is one of the most significant journals to me. Like many people, prior to this assignment I had never thought about death in such a thorough manner. Death is a topic that is unpleasant and uncomfortable to think about, and I for one do not like thinking about the day when my life on earth will end. However, I do believe that if I live my life in accordance with God’s will I may gain a place in heaven. At least, this is what I thought I believed. Now however, I must admit that if I truly believed that after death I can go to heaven there should be no basis for my fear of death. And the truth is that I am afraid of death.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
