1. Introduction a. Scenario when a senior chooses plans for after high school graduation i. As a high school senior I was busy trying to find the “perfect” school by visiting five campuses that had to meet the following criteria: 1. good distance from home-2 hours 2. communities to make new friends-dorms, campus organizations, church 3. affordable in the long run 4. places to work for college students-on campus/close to campus 5. fun atmosphere-winning teams!! ii. and applying for scholarships and financial aid 1. community scholarships 2. k-state scholarships 3. FASFA 4. loan applications 2. Problem Description a. Students are so busy trying to figure out the details about going to college, they forget why they are going to college i. There are 1500 people at k-state declared as undecided, and many people will change their majors (notebook notes) 1. About 1,500 K-State students are open option, or undeclared, majors, Perry said. (bookmarked) 2. students change majors on average 3 times (bookmarked)
