New staff was need for evolution café, so supervisor posted an advertisement for the post of
waitstaff. As a waitstaff member the person must deal with variety range of person including
customer, colleagues, supervisor, head chef.
Retno is a new waitstaff and she was hired. Today is her first day at work. But she came half and hour
late at her first shift which already made a negative impact on the job. The supervisor asked her why
she was late then she apologize for being late and explain about being late due to normal bus did not
arrive in time. So, she must wait for the next service. Well due to delay in job the supervisor was not
happy and tell her that if you become late again you will not be provided any more shift.
….. Retno came in the café on rush and meet with manager and here is the conversation ….
“Derek give her some induction”.
DEREK:-
Hello, welcome to evolution café. My name is Derek, I am the supervisor here. (discuss
why is late?)
I am going to give you some quick tour about this place. But I will go over the menu with you and
please do let me know if you have any question when I explain the menu.
RETNO:-
Sure Derek.
DEREK:-
This is where you can get your apron which is the first thing you do when you get here.
