Strategies Formulation (i) Company’s vision, mission and corporate social initiatives.Vision To be the best fashion company everAspire to be a global leader in the fashion and retail industryMission To exceed customers’ expectations and our brands’ promise Corporate Social Initiatives First and foremost, for the contribution to the environment，Padini has collect a totalamount of 1505 kg of used paper and paper product sold for recycling and the proceedsamounting to total RM301 in the year 2017. Although it was negligible, the company will usein part to fund some of the philanthropic activities. Besides that, Padini has organized a beachcleaning activity at Pantai Morib, Selangor and a park cleaning activity at Bukit JalilRecreation Park, Kuala Lumpur. These activity organized by Padini was one a part ofeducating to the society to take care of our environment. Other than environment, for the contribution at the workplace, Padini has providesome education and training program for employees to build up a labour resources whichsuitable candidates will be selected to fill executive-level vacancies available in Padini. In2009, the company has conducted 2 training programmes. The first program was BrandsOutlet Retail Trainee Programme that started in June 2014 and it is open to graduate. Thisprogram is developed to impart skills needed to manage the frontline operations of a large-sized retail outlet and it conducted over a 3-month period. The second programme wasConcept Store Operations Trainee Programme. This program was introduced in May 2015following by the successful implementation of the Brands Outlet programme mention above.This two program was similar in nature but for this programme trainees do their on-the-jobtraining in the Group Padini Concept Store.For community, the group has organize some of the philanthropy event in 2017.During the year, the group has spending nearly a total of 500 man-hours in visited nursinghome, disabled childcare home and orphanage. Besides interacting and engaging with the3
residents of the various home, the employees also performed for the resident during the visits.Donation of both kind and monetary were also made from proceeds derived from variety offund-raising activities conducted by the Kebajikan Syarikat Padini Holding Berhad , a groupthat consist of volunteer from employees of Padini. A total of Rm27000 cash was donated dothe home that visited. Besides that, Padini also has sponsored a total of 108 employees for theEarly Detection and Prevention Save Live Programme conducted by the National KidneyFoundation and also donate RM 500 cash to the Foundation to fund the operating cost.
