Raven Boston Mr. Neher MKT 3331-03 Table 9 December 2, 2011 Plan Marketing plan is a detailed description of the resources and actions needed to achieve stated marketing objectives. A marketing plan often draws from the business plan, restating the executive summary, competitive analysis, and mission statement. Also, a marketing plan is needed for several reasons. To obtain financing, to provide direction for firm’s overall business and marketing strategies, to support the development of long and short term objectives, to guide employees in achieving these objectives, and to serve as a standard against which the firm’s progress can be measured and evaluated. However, the marketing plan includes the following sections: The executive summary - Online the who, what, where, when, how, and why of the marketing plan. Company Description - Summarizes the history of the company; how it was founded and by whom, products, why are the unique etc. Mission and Goals - Important to state the firm’s mission and goals, and include growth and profit for the company.
