Critical thinking“Critical thinking is the ability to discover the value of an idea, a set of beliefs, a claim, or an argument”(College Success, 2015, p. 106). Critical thinking is a very important skill that students must acquire intheir studies. Critical thinking is all about the use of logical reasoning. The use of logic helps us to figureout the problem and find a solution. A critical thinker is not driven by emotion, but by reason. At thestart a critical thinker asks a multiple of questions to know the situation better. When asking question, aperson finds data and the root causes of the problem or situation, but he/she must be sure theinformation provided is accurate and sufficient. If data is inaccurate, we will end up making fallacies.“Fallacies are defects in logic that weaken arguments” (College Success, 2015, p.108). fallacies aredifferent form, but their main cause lack of information, and weak reason.
