The world will have a generation of idiots.” Technology can simply bedefined as “the application of scientific knowledge (whether referring to methods, systems anddevices), used for practical purposes”. In an ongoing and impelling stage in society, the conceptof technology is continuously altering our morales, from our own belief systems to our culture,and in a way we can also say that technology is idealistically being praised and practiced as if itis a religion itstelf, which then plays an influence over one’s tradition, family, values, etc. WhatAlbert Einstein fears is the moment society will entirely rely on technology that humaninteraction itstelf will fade away, which is most definitely needed to grow and prosper as wholein society. Although information technology plays a great role in knowledge expansion and aswell as embracing communication, it does not outweigh its negative effects; not only becausebiased information shared take form of opinions rather than facts, but also because it leads toindividuals not being able to think for themselves.Just as there are countless reasons as to how information technology does not outweighits negative effects, there are also countless reasons as to how it does. One can say thattechnology is very much embracing communication, and although that is in fact quite true, if wedig deeper on how it is being embraced, it becomes questionable as to whether or not it is theform of communication that our human nature is in norms with.
