Running has shaped my self-concept as greatly as any object or action could ever hope to, imparting me with a sense of drive and patience. Running has been a great part of my life for the many years. Shaping and molding the type of person I am and soon will become. Track and field is a sport that dates back for thousands of years. Bringing countries together and helping people get through problems as a stress reliever. I can seriously say that I love running the adrenaline rush that I receive when I am sitting at the start line. The starter say’s “on your marks” I go threw a routine in my head focusing on the finish line with a handful of perspiration and a stomach full of butterflies. I just know one thing nothing else in the world matters. The stress in my life disappears and all the weight that was once on my shoulders disappears like drop of water on a hot skillet. The suspense leading up the start is so thick I could cut it with a knife. I set my feet in my
