Dreams For an average American something like an orange seems so simple to have as a dream; Oranges are an everyday occurrence. American’s dreams are big and extravagant: I wish I owned a Hummer, house in Hollywood, a million dollars. Some people aren’t able to even imagine big because they don’t get the little things but they still keep dreaming. Dreams are a important part of life and should always be in the back of everyone’s head, no matter how big or small. As an American I am not going to lie and say I don’t take things for granted, because I know I do. Imagining a reality without the ability to dream and have certain things in my life is hard. It wasn’t until this past summer while I was backpacking threw Europe that I was able to begin to understand the reality of it all. Living off of little to no money a day was a challenge and integrating into another civilization was even harder. This is why the short story The Night of the Oranges
