Alternate Assignment for Advanced Food Service Final Project: Planning and Preparation Directions: Students who were absent May 8 and May 14 th did not participate in the planning of the final project will need to make up 40 points for the planning phase of the project. 1. Group 1 selected French Food. Group 2 selected Spanish food. Research typical ingredients from your group’s selected country. In two well-developed paragraphs, describe the typical food culture of your group’s theme. Include a discussion of ingredients and dishes. (10 points) 2. Select 1 recipe that illustrates your group’s theme. Make sure it is a recipe that we could make within our budget and equipment constraints. Consider three adjustments that you could make in the recipe to make it better. Submit original recipe and considered adjustments. (20 points) 3. Decide which adjustment you would make to the recipe. Re-write the recipe to include your adjustment. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on how well your new recipe might be accepted by the class. (10 points)
