Case study 2 (Class work I – 15/10/2020) Students: Farangiz Rakhimova, Egita Mickeviča, Chavini Janodhya Gunasekara a) What are some of the challenges facing supervisors? Challenges which supervisors faced were with knowing the status of the work, as part-time employees come in and hand a piece of a project off to another worker. Also, some deal managing conflicts as they arise. b) What skills do you think the supervisors need to be effective project managers? Why do they need these skills. 1. Supervisors need to provide leadership 2. Inspire their team members 3. Giving good motivations to team members 4. Be a good manager 5. Accomplish the project goals 6.Listen and understand team members issues Project managers must have strong organizational skills to ensure the processes are running smoothly and in line with specific goals. So these skills need to be multitasked oriented, prioritizing tasks, compartmentalizing projects, manage risks, achieve project goals and documenting all things for access and future reference.
