Objective : The objective of this experiment was to become familiar with the applications of Ohm’s Law and the measurement of voltage, current, resistance, and power. Moreover, this lab was a good way to become more proficient with the test equipment used in electrical circuits labs. Equipment : The equipment in this lab included a digital multi-meter, a DC power supply, and four different resistors. These resistors included a 470, 330, 220, and 1000 Ohm resistors. Procedure : Connect the circuit of Figure 2.1 without the DC power supply. Then connect the DMM from points A to B and measure the resistance. Repeat the previous steps for Figure 2.2. Then connect the circuit of Figure 2.3 and measure the total current with the DMM as shown. While measuring the current it is important to notice that the current is measured in series with the device. Connect the circuit of Figure 2.4 and connect the DMM across R1 to measure the voltage V(R1). It is important to notice that
