What are community characteristics?
Below is the classification of Community Characteristics:1)Demographics Characteristics2)Geographic and Physical Characteristics3)Social Characteristics4)Health Status Characteristics of Area.(1)Demographic Characteristics: Socioeconomic Characteristics of a population expressed statistically,consisting of age, sex, schooling degree, income stage, marital reputation, career, religion, death rate,birth rate, average size of a family, average age at marriage. (2)Geographic and Physical Characteristics:Geographic traits are divided into two classes: physical characteristics and human characteristics.Physical characteristics describe the natural surroundings of the location. They include: physical features- are landforms and our bodies of water. Physical characteristics are defining traits or capabilitiesapproximately your body. The first component you see when you observe a person might be their hair,garments, nostril, or figure. These are all examples of physical traits. (3) Social Characteristics:Social, cultural, religious and other characteristics of people or group of peoples which make acontribution to the specification of the population to which they belong. (4)Health StatusCharacteristics: Socioeconomic and health status traits. The center survey instrument includes questionsabout sociodemographic and health status traits, such as age, race, ethnicity, vicinity, urban/rural status,health popularity rating, range of persistent conditions, and activity limitations.A community needs assessment identifies the strengths and sources available in the community tosatisfy the needs of children, adolescents, and families. The assessment specializes in the skills of thenetwork, together with its citizens, organizations, and companies. The basic needs services, Communityservices helps clients with transportation, weatherization, utilities, medical desires, clothing,employment, and refuge and food assistance.
