This dataset isdownloaded from internet.This dataset contains 161920 renting records occurred between Sep.21 2015 and Jul.26 2016.Each renting record have 15 attributes including: ‘tripduration’, ‘starttime’, ‘stoptime’, ‘startstation name’, ‘end station name’, ‘start station id’, ‘end station id’, ‘start station longitude’,‘start station latitude’, ‘end station latitude’, ‘end station longitude’, ‘bikeid’, ‘gender’,‘usertype’ and ‘birth year’. Those records provide enough information to analysis the servicecondition at different bike station.
2.GoalBecause each record has ‘start station name’ and ‘end station name’, the needs of bike atdifferent station can be calculated and the frequency of bike renting at each station reflects theimportance of station. Figure 2 is a subset of whole dataset.Figure 2. Subset of whole datasetThe goal of this project is to find trip pattern and give advises by analyzing the service conditionof bike‐sharing system in Jersey City.3.Data Clean(1). Delete all records that have value of 0 at ‘gender’ column.(2). Calculate the age of user by subtracting value of 2015 by the value in ‘birth year’ column.(3). Delete records that have age larger than 80 and less than 17.(4). Delete records that have ‘end station name’ which did not exist in ‘start station name’.(5). Delete records that have ‘start station name’ which with occurrence less than 1000 timeswithin 11 months.
