01.16 Writing Your NarrativeIt was a dark stormy evening. The wind was howling, the trees were waving in the night sky, and thunder was roaring through the home of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Whispers of conversations roamed through the dark castle hallways. Lightening illuminated the candlelit room where they sat quietly, awaiting their dinner guest, Banquo’s son, Fleance. After receiving an invitation to Banquo’s funeraland hearing about possible suspicions about his murder, Macbeth and Lady Macbethneeded to act fast and cover their guilt.The Macbeth’s were discussing the people’s suspicions privately before dinner. Having caught word of rumors that Macbeth killed Banquo was unsettling forboth of them. They knew that showing up to the funeral would cause people to talk, but not showing up would lead all the guests to believe the conspiracies and want revenge for what they believed was a murder. Macbeth did not want to show his face at the funeral; afraid he would not be able to keep it together with the suffocating guilt he had been enduring. Lady Macbeth wanted to protect them and was demanding that he would attend in order to attempt to hush the discussions in the
