Child Welfare/ Abuse Child welfare is something that is extremely important for social worker. Child warfare and abuse is an important part of a social workers job. Child warfare is something that includes the removal of children from unsafe households. This can be a hard decision for a social worker to make which is why it is important for there to be policy’s that regulate the removal of children from their homes. This monitors if children are suspected of being abused as well as the policy’s that would need to be followed in order to ensure a child’s safety. Child welfare is the safety and well-being of children. “Understanding risk factors associated with reentry into out-of-home care is critical to inform the prevention of child maltreatment recurrence and ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and youth” (Brown, Orsi & Chen, 2020). This is saying looking at risk factors such as the family previously being involved with Child Protective Services could put the welfare of the child at risk for abuse again in the future. There are many causes for this problem including drug abuse, poverty and if they have a history of being abused when they were a child. Children’s welfare and child abuse are extremely relevant in the United States. Children with issues with their welfare are at a risk from being removed from their house. Children who
