What recommendations would you make to the top management of Proctor &
Gamble to ensure the probability of a favorable consumer post purchase decision
evaluation of Tide laundry detergent
What would you do with regard to a
marketing strategy to accomplish this objective.
Explain your rationale…
be as
specific as possible.
There are several recommendations I would make to the top management of
Proctor & Gamble to ensure the consumers would be happy after a purchase of Tide
laundry detergent products. A promotion such as a coupon or an especially low price
would ensure that the consumer would feel that they made the most of their money.
When customers feel like they got a bargain they are much less likely to have
unfavorable post purchase feeling. Tide’s brand name is already well known and the
product is already popular for its high quality. Once purchased the consumer may begin
to compare the product to previously purchased products so if they can claim that what
they paid was more accurately priced than in previous situations, at least when comparing
price and value. This alone would probably create a positive mindset and allow for
favorable post purchase decision evaluation, however it can be taken a step further.
