PROJECT 5: MANAGING GLOBAL BUSINESS 2 Employment Issues Case Overview New Brand Design, Inc. (NBD) is a subsidiary of the Colossal Corporation base in Serafini, a small country in Eastern Europe (UMGC, 2020a). This subsidiary is consolidated in Delaware's territory as an organization that plans, brands, and fabricates imaginative electronic items and advertises and disperses them for resale over the globe. The two of Serafini's local nationals, Elena and Viktor, were being paid salaries significantly lower than several other executive board members. They likewise found that their support agreement was additionally not as comprehensive as different individuals. Both Elena and Viktor have since recorded conventional protests for segregation and unjustifiable strategic approaches with the human resources director Max Ciccone. NBD's executive board comprises six expatriates from the United States, one expatriate from Italy, and three local Serafini nationals (UMGC, 2020a). These ten board members manage over 100 employees, who are all Serafini (UMGC, 2020a). U.S. operations have attempted to fix the problem by sending out two more expatriates from the United States on five-year contracts to replace Elena and Viktor. Max Ciccone has been dealing with NBD issues for several months, and these findings could result in a significant issue with the local government. Ethical Analysis Terminating Elena and Viktor is a sure sign of unethical practices for NBD. Applying the Utilitarianism concept of ethics, which states an action is right only if it will deliver the greatest good to society (UMGC, 2020a).
