SUBURBAN HOMES QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN (QMP) Suburban Homes is planning to expand its construction projects in the southern states. It needs to maintain good quality to increase their reach among home buyers, meet local, state, and federal laws and requirements, and be successful. To maintain the quality of their homes, Suburban Home needs a quality management plan. The quality management plan should have a clear objectives and requirements and should be communicated with all the stakeholders. Quality Objectives Some of the objectives for the QMP (Quality Management Plan) are as follows: The project should meet local, state, and federal safety and environment standards. The Homes should be built strong so that it lasts for long term and prevent from damages, wind, snow or any natural disasters. Projects should meet client’s expectations and needs to be built using latest technology. Projects should prioritize the construction workers safety and maintain safe work environment. Projects must be completed within the given deadlines and allocated budget. Quality Standards The quality standards will depend on the quality objectives, requirements, and stakeholders involved in each project. Although the standards slightly vary from project to project, typical quality standards involve the interest of home buyers in terms of high-quality interiors or exteriors, completion of home construction in a particular budget or timeline. From the
construction workers point of view, they would want fair wages, safe work environment. The projects should meet all the standards of local, state, and federal guidelines. Some other quality standards include the cement quality, building height, and other materials used in the Home construction. Quality Roles and Responsibilities Some of the vital roles include: Project Manager: The project manager will be responsible and accountable for the entire project adhering to quality standards, budget, and timeline.
