Names: Instructional Adaptation/Accommodation Chart Identifying Characteristics of Emotional/Behavior Disorder May exhibit such characteristics as an inability to learn that cannot be explained by intellectual, sensory, or health factors, or an inability to build or maintain good relationships with peers and teachers. May exhibit inappropriate behaviors or feelings under normal circumstances, or have a general, pervasive mood of unhappiness or depression. May have a tendency to develop physical symptoms or fears associated with personal or school problems. May display oppositional and defiant behaviors. Intellectual and cognitive abilities vary. Difficulties displayed in the classroom may include poor academic performance, poor self-control, frequent off-task behavior, low tolerance to frustration, poor self-concept and low social skills. Includes students with schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. CURRICULUM
