Active Healthy Lifestyles: A Module Overview. This module offers experiential learning for learners to adopt an active life for fitness and lifelong health. The knowledge, skills and understanding which include physical ad health literacy competencies support them in accessing, synthesizing and evaluating information; making informed decisions, enhancing and advocating their own as well as other’s fitness and health. This module contains two main topics and are equivalent for 3 weeks meeting class. 1

Lesson 8: Culminating Activity: Total Fitness Workout The learner demonstrates an understanding of fitness and exercise in optimizing one’s health as a habit; as a requisite for physical activity assessment performance, and as a career opportunity. At the end of this lesson the learners will be able to: a. understand fitness events b. organizes a fitness event for a target health issue and concern Fitness Event – can come in form of a short, single training or exercise session, a group or batch of sessions extended over a period of time, to a full-blown event with many participants such as fun run and marathon.
