The Metamorphosis Summary More the reader advance in reading this novel, the more it is possible to see that  Gregor modifies its behavior and lifestyle. Before his metamorphosis, it was the  professional achievements of the main character that made his family since the  collapse of his father, since early in his career, he has "launched in working with  particular ardor" (page 109), which shows how Gregor is dedicated to the members  of his family. This sense of sacrifice is so strong that the day of his conversion, he  quickly forgets his personal problem, so do not fail to family responsibilities. In  addition, Gregor deserves to be recognized as someone punctual and never miss a  day at work, and this is what he starts to change his behavior when the validity of  and his parents come to fetch the reason why it is so late this morning, Gregor  Samsa is obliged to lie not only to explain its late for work, but also the fact that it is  slow to open the door his room. He prefers to pretend he suffers from "a slight
