Titsworth 1 Lauren Titsworth Enc1011-102 Ron Smith August 6, 2007 Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirates Life for Me Shiver me timbers it’s another pirate movie! Its time to get comfortable and explore the inside of my eyelids because as we all know all too well, pirate movies have a history of deteriorating at the box office. Movies like Yellowbeard , The Ice Pirates , and The Master of Ballantrae have made that quite evident. These types of movies that seemed to dominate theaters in the twenties all the way through the fifties made moviegoers hesitant to see another pirate flick. So, it was surprising that Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl kept the attention of the audience and ended up doing so well at the box office. “One of the summer’s best popcorn movie’s” (Van Hoeji,i). Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a spin off of Disney’s ride Pirates of the Caribbean. Like the ride, the movie is full of twists, turns, and thrills. The action in the movie is nothing short of astounding with its high flying sword fights, and advanced cinematography.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
