INFORMATIONAL INTERVIEW CHECKLIST Name of Person Interviewed: Alan Kissick Place of Interview: La Madeleine Date of Interview: March 1 st , 2008 Occupation of Interviewee: Marketing Manager, American Diabetes Assocation Method used to obtain Interview: E-mail Questions for Interviewee : Qualifications: Interned at various marketing organizations and worked his way up the food chain. Started at the American Diabetes Association recently and when his boss left, he took her position. Working Conditions: Great people, great office, great location. Typical Day: Answer tons of e-mails, meet with co-workers regarding marketing plans, contact business partners and run reports. Advantages/Disadvantages of Job: On the plus side, the work is extremely challenging and rewarding. On the minus side, the hours are long and since the organization is a non-profit, overtime isn’t compensated and the work has to get done no matter what. How did you enter this Career/Job? Started as an intern at various marketing organizations and upon being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, began working for the American Diabetes Association.
