Spring Awakening The musical Spring Awakening, attended Sunday, March 3, 2013, was a huge success due to the acting, costumes, scenery, sound design, lighting, and directing. Not many people realize the importance of each of these aspects to a success in a production. Spring Awakening was not only a musical, but also a mixture of hard work by many different people apart of the production team. The acting in Spring Awakening was pretty good. I thought that Wendla and Melchior did a very good job, but some other characters confused me. The two main characters were great in acting out the awkward sexual scenes, and they expressed emotion on their faces without needed to talk. Although those two were great, the actor who played Moritz confused me. When he was first introduced in the play, I thought he was a kid of special needs who got bullied by the teacher and who Melchior was friends with to be nice. I thought this because of his restricted body movement, awkward motions, and tone of his voice. It took me roughly twenty minutes to realize that he was supposed to do those awkward moments to portray a nervous-socially-awkward boy. And because of this acting, I was distracted from the play and was not focused on the plot.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
