It is a 50:50 ratio instructional program, where the instruction between Spanish and English is split 50/50 (Walnut, 2021). The program is applied from Kindergarten classrooms and extends until 8th grade. Walnut Grove has weekly staff meetings with their teachers to review curriculum and instructional strategies for students as well as monthly meetings. Fun Fridays take place every Friday after lunch. Students look forward to the end of the week to destress and engage in entertaining activities.
