Throughout the play, examples of dramatic irony occur because the audience knows Iago’s true intentions while the characters do not. As you read, use the irony chart below to track examples of dramatic irony. Identify a quote from the play that is ironic and explain the irony. Oedipus Rex is a tragic play of irony.
