It will shine light through one side, and the amountof light that makes it through is detected and will demonstrate the amount of light absorbed /transmitted from the current. To identify what colors are being absorbed, you can insert themost concentrated solution. Set the concentration in units of molarity to collect data on theabsorbance of each solution. You will match the point of the concentration to its absorbance forthe data to be correctly plotted. Make sure that there is a good amount of time for theabsorbance to stabilize before recording the amount. The result on the graph will be linear, dueto the absorbance increasing as the concentration increases.
