After vigorous mixing you can use a centrifuge to remove as much as the precipitate as possible, then pouring outthe excess liquid (sodium nitrate). You will then place the precipitate on filter paper and try to flatten it without breaking the silver chloride apart. Shine the extremely bright light on the silver chloride for approximately ten minutes. This will allow for the solution to decompose, causing for a dramatic color change.
