English 3 SyllabusUpdated 6/10/2019Course DescriptionThis class brings a global panorama of the “human condition” to our students via stories,speeches, plays, satire, podcasts, and poetry. Students increase composition skills ponderingtopics like war and peace, utopia and dystopia, and wealth and poverty. Discussion forumsprovide students an authentic audience of their peers and a place to present and connect.PREREQUISITE:English 2COURSE LENGTH:One Semester (86 hours)CREDIT AVAILABLE:.5 English CreditREQUIREMENTS TO PASS:Earn a 60% or higher by the end of the semesterExpectationsSUCCESS:Follow these guidelines to ensure success in this class.Complete the assignments in the order they are listed. Do not skip around.Participate in all online discussions. Actively work to create connections.Be an active student!Manage your time effectively.Communicate with your teacher and ask questions when needed.Have fun!COMMUNICATION:Students will be contacted periodically by the instructor and are expectedto return any voice messages, emails, or text messages sent by the instructor. Check your emailand return messages EVERY DAY. This is a responsibility of all BlueSky students.
