Unit IV: Transoceanic Interconnections 1450-1750 4.1: Technological Innovations Essential Question: Explain how human adaptation and innovation has resulted in increased efficiency, comfort, and security, and technological advances have shaped human development and interactions with both intended and unintended consequences. Human adaptation and interaction resulted In increased efficiency, comfort, and security because with the new innovations to the seafaring industry made sailing easier more and more people started to trade, and as more and more people started to trade the ships would tailor themselves to the wealthy sailors and it became more comfortable. These new technologies not only helped trade grow and make sailing easier, but it also made pirating easier as well.
