Given the nature of the online discussion board, weekly entries will not be accepted for a grade after the beginning of each class. Late assignments must be submitted to Blackboard (see details in Blackboard under “Assignment”). Essay extensions will be granted based on legitimate medical or compassionate grounds only. Students should discuss their situation with the Professor before the submission deadline. Requests for special consideration and proper documentation (such as the U of T medical form etc.) must be submitted no later than one week after the due date. We accept the UofT medical certificate only. The Medical Certificate must indicate that the doctor diagnosed and treated you when you were ill; it cannot just report that you told the doctor after- the- fact that you were ill previously. Missed Term Test: If you miss the mid- term test, you must contact the Professor no later than one week after the test to request an opportunity to write a make- up test. A make- up test will be granted only if there are legitimate medical or compassionate reasons. Documentation (such as the UofT medical form etc.) must be submitted no later than one week after the test. Late requests are not accepted. We accept the UofT medical certificate only. Remarking term work policy: Requests for “remarks” must be submitted in writing to the TA. Requests must be submitted within two weeks of the date the graded papers were made available for students to pick up. Late requests will not be accepted. To request a remark, you must submit a written explanation detailing precisely why you believe your assignment should receive a different grade. Please remember that on a remark your grade may go up, stay the same, or go down. The grade after the remark will be the grade recorded on the assignment.
