Chem 1 Section I Lab #8 Dmity Pukhov 4/3/2012 Standard Curves and Volumetric Glassware Lab Report Purpose The purpose of this lab is to calculate the concentration of a chemical by measuring the amount of a certain wavelength of light absorbed by the substance. In order to find the relationship between absorbance and concentration, the standard curve must be determined. The standard curve is found by drawing a best-fit line through data points collected at different concentrations.
