Shaun Wise 11/7/07 Paper 5 The world is a place of tragedies and madness at times, but through all of the chaos, a love exists that is universal to all men. The love comes from a god who cares for people even when it seems that he is not there. This is the idea that Desmond Tutu explains in God Has a Dream: A Vision Hope of Our Time . Tutu talks about our world as it is presented to us, and how god perceives what is happening. The fact that the world has evil is why we need to reconcile with our enemies. Tutu preaches this idea because he believes that God wants man to spread love and unity to the people who are full of hate. This idea was preached to the people of South Africa who were oppressed during apartheid. To reconcile with our enemies one must be able to forgive them for their sins. By forgiving people for their sins will allow people to become closer with one another by settling differences and becoming closer. God’s plan for the
