Sailor Hufman APUSH 06.04 The Jazz Age Mr. Maynard 02.05.21 Reflection: Even though races, such as African Americans, were discriminated against throughout the Jazz Age, they were still granted the right to vote. Thus, allowing them to protest against politicians that had previously supported the “lynching” of African Americans. This shows how individuals with different backgrounds were given the opportunity to change things during this age. Though the tensions between races were high, treatment towards people of color changed for the better. This shows that my thesis for Document three, Call For Unity Between Black and White Laborers, is correct as a result of it shows how those of all different ethnicities and race have the ability to receive improved rights thanks to the growth of America, even though racial problems haven’t disappeared completely.
