I have been wrangling cattle since before you were old enough to tie your own shoes. ARGUMENT- He still did the shoe-tying before he came. 3. Albert is angry with me so he probably won’t be willing to help me wash the dishes. ARGUMENT- He says Albert might not be helping to wash the dishes. 4. First I washed the dishes and then I dried them. EXPLANATION- It says what to do when you wash your dishes. 5. If the road wasn’t icy, the car wouldn’t have slid off the turn. EXPLANATION- The risk is clarified if the road is slippery, and if the road is slow, the outcome is explained. 6. Albert isn’t a fireman and he isn’t a fisherman either.
