February 21, 2007 Bourgeoisie replaced chivalry with values of self interest, money, cash. - personal work replaced by exchange value - change in the patriarchal system. Women become part of the workforce - Made the class system simpler Bourgeoisie VS proletariats. - Bourgeoisie made everyone a commodity (artists, poets, and teachers: all became wage laborers) - Bourgeoisie created the world in their image. Peasants of the country side are subjected to the towns. They produce for the urban population. Created dependence between the East on the West. Bourgeoisie created its own weapons of destruction. The working class will eventually wield the weapons of destruction against the Bourgeoisie. Proletariats Live as long as they work and work as long as their labor produces capital. Reserve army of labor. The enemy of the wage labor is the reserve army of labor, the unemployed willing to take the work.
