Tyler Campillo Carol Michaelsen 12 September 2007 Through thick and thin, my family will always remain at my side. My family has been through numerous amounts of challenges and obstacles, but we’ll never leave each others’ sides. We celebrate this union and miraculous bond we share on Thanksgiving Day; the day that our close family gets together and we share memories and create stronger bonds through a special feast like no other. It is a time where the older generations share and teach our culture to the younger and less experienced generations. Our culture is made up of the general food we eat, our music and dance, as well as the general time we get to spend together and cherish as family. Cuisine plays an important role in our family dinners. As it can be imagined, Thanksgiving is especially significant in keeping our traditions “alive and kicking,” much unlike that turkey roasting in the oven.
