Unformatted text preview: ervation Inspection for Uninstalled Equipment 1 Open the Uninstalled Equipment VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Right-click the Serno, choose Initiate, then Inspections/Removals, and select Inspections. 3 On the Inspections - Uninstalled Equipment window, enter the Assy Cd and Serno for specific uninstalled equipment. For all uninstalled equipment, leave the Assy Cd and Serno fields blank. 4 Check the Preservation/Depreservation box and click Retrieve. The lower portion of the window displays all types of preservation/depreservation inspections applicable to the selected Assy Cd. 5 Select the specific type of preservation and click Initiate. The Control JCN appears alongside the Print prompt. 6 Respond to the Print prompt accordingly. 7 Click Clear to initiate another inspection work order. 8 Click Close to return to the Uninstalled Equipment VED. Initiate Near Due Removal - Component The Initiate Inspections/Removals option enables you to initiate a work order to remove a component due to its reaching the limited operational requirement. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Right-click the Modex or Serno, choose Initiate, then Inspections/Removals, and select Component Removals. The Near Due Removal - Component (on page 459) dialog box appears. 3 On the Near Due Removal - Component dialog box, enter the selection criteria and click Retrieve. 4 On the lower portion of the box, select the specific component to remove, enter the appropriate work center, and then click Initiate. 458 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Note: In some instances, components with serial numbers of XXX will appear on this area because the system cannot determine their removal count (hours/days). The Logset Clerk shall make the effort to locate them and complete the required data so their removal counts will be calculated correctly. 5 Simultaneously, the Print prompt and the MCN block appear. Respond to the Print prompt accordingly. 6 To initiate another work order, click Clear and repeat steps 2-5. 7 Click Close to return to the VED. Inspections - ALSS, Support Equipment and Mission Mounted Equipment The Inspections option primarily enables you to query all equipment (SE, ALSS, and MME) at one time. However, due to the similarity of all equipment functionality, the same window is used to initiate a near due, conditional, or preservation inspection work orders. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Right-click the Serno, choose Initiate, then Near Due Inspections/Removals, and select Inspection. 3 On the Inspections - (SE, ALSS, MME) window, click All. 4 On the Inspections - ALSS, Support Equipment, and Mission Mounted Equipment window, follow the applicable step: 5 For all inspections, leave the intervals blank and click Retrieve. 6 For all equipment, leave the Assy Cd and Serno fields blank, and then click Retrieve. 7 For specific equipment, enter the Assy Cd and serial number, and then click Retrie...
