Chapter 2 Quick Reference Guide in Optimized NALCOMIS OMA 47 Task Codes and SMQs Task Codes and Special Maintenance Qualifications (SMQs) are initially loaded at each activity when the Optimized NALCOMIS OMA is implemented. Authorized site personnel may modify these initial SMQs to meet the site's specific requirements; other SMQs may be added after implementation. SMQ is a specific code that identifies a person's authority to perform a specific task within the system. It is abbreviated to a maximum of five characters and assigned to personnel in your organization. Task Code refers to a specific function a user can perform throughout the system. Multiple SMQs can be assigned to a task code. A task code without an SMQ assignment means that the function can be performed by any person authorized to login to the system; for example: query tasks. Task Code Table The Task Code Table contains all the tasks that exist in the database. The task code refers to a specific function a user can perform throughout the system. Multiple SMQs can be assigned to a task code. A task code without an SMQ assigned to it means the function can be performed by any user authorized to log on to the system.
